Cross Border Learning- ”Building on existing assets/ resources to strengthen community philanthropy”

We are delighted to invite you to an interactive cross-border community philanthropy Learning Session themed, ‘‘Building on existing assets/ resources to strengthen community philanthropy’’. This webinar is set to take place via ZOOM on 16th December 2022 from 10am EAT.

This session aims to achieve the following objectives:

  • Unlocking linkages among community foundations and actors in the EA region;
  • Creating collaborative engagements towards exploring solutions for existing challenges at the community level;
  • Cross border knowledge sharing towards strengthening Community Philanthropy;
  • Strengthening the East Africa Regional Community Foundation learning platform.

The Session brings Learnings from experienced Community Philanthropy Support practitioners and will focus on;

  1. Community Foundations – Survival and Sustainability in an Increasingly Constrained Funding Environment
  2. Nurturing Community Forms of Giving –  An assessment of Needs
  3. Linking and Connecting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to community foundations’ work – The Case of Tanzania Network of Community Foundations

We will also hear from a practitioners perspective, where the Tanzania Community Foundations Network (TCFN) will share lessons on their ‘Technical and financial support for community foundations
